Rooms were cosy, clean and tidy. Lovely homely feel to the place. Also the owner was fantastic and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for him. Would highly recommend.
This is a no frills guest house. Clean. Re host Barry was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was cooked to order and I have no complaints at all. Will return if needing to stay in Newport again.
Good budget b&b. Tony Is a great host, very accommodating. I had no Issues with the rooms; beds are comfy, rooms are clean. It's no Holiday Inn though! I wouldn't pay a premium.
Really pretty place, clean but bit run down as they are doin refurbishments, cant wait to come again and see the changes! Staff very friendly and reasonably priced. Very happy, place had lovely feel to it.
Hi all 9/10 First impressionstep count in my book. We were meet by Barry, very nice chap, He showed us to are room,talked about having breakfast there. We really wanted food he recommended local Restaurant. (Very nice too.) Lovely and warm room. Next day Barry was very welcomeing, We had a fantastic breakfast, I said we were there to enjoy my birthday,which had been the day before. We went out for the rest of the day enjoying the sights. We went for a lovely meal in the evening. Next morning time to leave,we had little chat with Barry,what a lovely man.what a plesure to be around.kind and friendly. He even gave me a surprise birthday gift. What a gentleman. He has turntable the place in to a little jem. We would definitely go there again. It mento so much to me to actually celebrate my birthday this year as last year I didn't. Keep doing such a fab job Barry. Might not get the cance to see you again. Keep up the good work. Barry was a great host, accepted us last minute when our plans changed and we didn't have anywhere to stay. Rooms were OK for a guest house, didn't need anything more. A nice guest lounge with comfortable sofas and books, great breakfast ordering system that we unfortunately couldn't try. If I'm ever back in Newport, I'll be staying here again.
Lovely Victorian building a short taxi/ walk up the hill from the station, run by a very friendly couple, and really excellent value, for both room and £5 breakfast. Be aware check-in after 8pm needs to be agreed in advance. Impressive decor in reception and communal lounge, rooms & dining room are nothing fancy but comfortable enough. Would recommend it.
Fantastic guesthouse. Rooms are very nice and quite large. Owner is very friendly. Short distance from train station. Price is a great deal for the quality of rooms provided.
